How It Works

International sizing systems

There is no single global standard for clothing sizes, so the same garment carries a different number depending on where it was made. This tool maps each size to its equivalents across four common systems using widely accepted conversion charts.

The systems

US uses numeric sizes (e.g. 0–16 for women) plus letter sizes (XS–XL) for tops.
UK sizes typically run 4 numbers larger than US women's sizes (a US 8 is a UK 12).
EU sizes are based on body measurements in centimeters and run roughly 28 numbers larger than US women's sizes.
JP (Japan) uses its own numeric scale that tends to run smaller than Western sizes.
